Overview
The Leadership For Good Academy is a network of thinkers, doers and investors who act with purpose and courage. We are a non-profit initiative dedicated to enabling and investing in ‘you’ - the next generation of leaders and change-makers. We will equip you with the skills, connections and confidence to take courageous action for the long-term benefit of people and planet.
We do this by inviting you to join a foundational immersive learning programme and subsequent enrolment in the Alumni community - for lifelong connection and action.
The LFG Academy is made possible through the generous support of funders who share our commitment and passion in shaping a new generation of socially responsible leaders.
This is for you if….
...you’re interested in joining a community of values driven people who want to make good things happen.
...you are deeply curious to learn more about yourself and other people.
...you want to come on a 12 day wilderness-based leadership development programme in July 2026.
...you see your own future as being built on a foundation of self-awareness, robust values and positive change.
…you are aged between 18 and 35 years.
The leadership development programme involves a combination of residential and journey elements that include; wild camping, canoeing and personal development work. We immerse ourselves in natural environments which creates the space to shift your thinking - not as a test of physical endurance. If you want to test how physically tough you are, this is NOT the experience for you. If you want to challenge yourself intellectually and do all of this in nature …it is!
We are 100% committed that your physical strength, access to funds, previous outdoor experience, academic prowess and ability to canoe are not barriers to your attendance.
The Leadership for Good Academy is dedicated to equipping you with the skills, connections and confidence to take courageous action for the long-term benefit of people, organisations and wider society.
The Wilderness-based Leadership Programme is your catalyst for this work.
The Academy is the vehicle to make this a reality in the long term.
Funding
Participant Programme Contribution
The minimum programme fee is £650. Participants who are supported or sponsored by their employer will be expected to contribute at a higher rate (more info coming soon). The Programme and Academy is funded and subsidised through grants and donations.
Your access to funds should never be a barrier to participation. Alongside your personal travel and insurance costs, participants are asked to make a contribution towards the delivery of the programme, which may be self-funded or covered by an organisation, employer or sponsor. If cost is a concern, we encourage you to speak with us.
We use a values-led, tiered pricing approach that reflects the source of funding for each place. Where individuals are paying personally, we ask for the minimum contribution to keep the programme accessible. Where a place is funded by an organisation, a higher corporate contribution applies, recognising the additional resources available and the wider organisational benefit.
For those whose circumstances sit somewhere in between, there is flexibility within the tiers. This approach helps us balance accessibility with sustainability, ensuring the programme can continue to be offered to people driven by purpose rather than privilege.
The participant contribution covers the full cost of the programme itself. This includes all food and accommodation, equipment hire, professional canoe guides, and expert facilitation throughout the journey. There will be no additional costs incurred during the programme in Norway.
Personal Travel and Insurance
To participate in the programme, you must also cover the costs of…
Your travel to and from:
Norway, where the programme takes place (we expect that to be a maximum cost of £400).
The follow up weekend (UK location tbc.)
Your personal travel insurance c.£100
