Overview

The Leadership For Good Academy is a network of thinkers, doers and investors who act with purpose and courage. We are a non-profit initiative dedicated to enabling and investing in ‘you’ - the next generation of leaders and change-makers.  We will equip you with the skills, connections and confidence to take courageous action for the long-term benefit of people and planet.

We do this by inviting you to join a foundational immersive learning programme and subsequent enrolment in the Alumni community - for lifelong connection and action.

The LFG Academy is made possible through the generous support of funders who share our commitment and passion in shaping a new generation of socially responsible leaders.

This is for you if….

...you’re interested in joining a community of values driven people who want to make good things happen.

...you are deeply curious to learn more about yourself and other people.

...you want to come on a 12 day wilderness-based leadership development programme in July 2026.

...you see your own future as being built on a foundation of self-awareness, robust values and positive change.

…you are aged between 18 and 35 years.

The leadership development programme involves a combination of residential and journey elements that include; wild camping, canoeing and personal development work. We immerse ourselves in natural environments which creates the space to shift your thinking - not as a test of physical endurance. If you want to test how physically tough you are, this is NOT the experience for you. If you want to challenge yourself intellectually and do all of this in nature …it is!

We are 100% committed that your physical strength, access to funds, previous outdoor experience, academic prowess and ability to canoe are not barriers to your attendance.

The Leadership for Good Academy is dedicated to equipping you with the skills, connections and confidence to take courageous action for the long-term benefit of people, organisations and wider society.

  • The Wilderness-based Leadership Programme is your catalyst for this work.

  • The Academy is the vehicle to make this a reality in the long term.

Funding

As a Community Interest Company any profits have to be spent on our core mission - so we need to balance covering our costs, with making the programme as accessible as possible. We ask participants to pay different amounts based on their circumstances. This approach helps us balance accessibility with sustainability, ensuring the programme can continue to be offered to people driven by purpose rather than privilege. Your access to funds should never be a barrier to participation - please get in touch.

For transparency, it costs us at least £2,000 per participant to run just the 12 day programme. It costs us double to run the Community Interest Company as well. Participation at a lower cost is kindly subsidised by donations from philanthropic funding.

Whatever you pay - this includes all food and accommodation, equipment hire, professional canoe guides, and expert facilitation throughout the journey. There will be no additional costs incurred during the programme in Norway.
